Yasmin Anderson-Smith, Founder, Director, MCRP, AICI, is the founder and director of the Every Girl Can ™ an after school and summer progam for middle school girls. Yasmin conceived and developed the Every Girl Can program to help girls to build the tools to help them navigate the difficult and often confusing transition from teenage to young adulthood. The program’s primary goal is to help every girl build skills, develop a positive self-concept and be empowered to make positive life choices. By reaffirming their identity and uniqueness, all girls will be given the tools to help them begin to develop the strength, courage and life skills to deal with future challenges. Yasmin is President of KYMS IMAGE INTERNATIONAL, LLC a consulting firm offering image and brand management services to youth, adults, companies and organizations. Yasmin studied advanced image consulting and professional development training in Great Britain at the London Image Institute under the direction of renowned image masters, Lynne Marks, AICI, CIM and Rosemary Williams, TFIC, CIM. A graduate of the University of the West Indies, Howard University and Leadership Prince George’s, Yasmin is an active member of several community and professional organizations including the Association of Image Consultants International, the American Society for Training and Development, the American Association of University Women, Baltimore/Washington Chamber of Commerce - Women in Business, and Montgomery Women. Serving as a role model, mentor, leader, advocate, trainer and program coordinator, Yasmin has worked with youth from diverse communities and in a variety of settings for over twenty years. Yasmin serves on the boards of the Gap Buster Learning Center, Inc., The Institute for Caribbean Studies and is founding member of the Parent Advisory Council of the Silver Spring Boys’ and Girls’ Club where she has conducted classes for youth in image and etiquette. Yasmin resides with her family in Montgomery County, Maryland.
